• It seems that my latest updates on my homepage are taking a long time to work on mobile. I’m talking days after I have made updates. Everything works fine on desktop.

I first noticed this when I added a new soundcloud link to my homepage. It worked straight away on my desktop but I checked my mobile and it didn’t appear until a few days later. I have now recently replaced a video on the same page but it is still showing the link to the old video that has since been deleted. But again it all works fine on desktop.

Is there a current issue with this wordpress theme? I’m adding the links just like I have always done in the past with no problems until recently.

    thanks

  • Are you using any caching plugins? Or have the site under Cloudflare?

W3 Total Cache ring any bells? ??

I have had W3 Total Cache installed for a good while with no problems. I haven’t changed any setting within the plugin. How can it suddenly be a problem?

The purpose of the plugin matches the issue you’re having. A caching plugin saves old copies of your website for faster performance. If this is not related to your plugin, it is a caching issue elsewhere on your website. Either your theme or your hosting providers.

Speculating why it wasn’t an issue before and it is now isn’t a way to resolve your issue.

If it is the W3 plug-in is there a way of avoiding this happening again? I want any updates I make to my site to be working straight away for anyone who views it on any platform.

I just remembered that I did clear my browsing data on my phone yesterday and tried visiting my site again just to be sure but i still got the old page. I’ve just tried it again now but still the same
