  • Disable Gutenberg does not effect load time, if anything it will increase post or page load times in wp-admin.

    What Luke said. Plus I would add that Gut/Block Editor adds 5MB of JavaScript to the Edit Post screen, so Disable Gutenberg is gonna help with that. Also on the frontend, Gutenberg loads a fairly large CSS file, and Disable Gutenberg provides an option to remove that as well. So bottom line is Disable Gutenberg helps improve site performance.
