    NextGen Gallery began to slow down my website tremendously with these PHP error warnings and stricts.

    plugin version 2.1.31
    wordpress version 4.4.2

    include_once(/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/package.module.ngglegacy.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory

    include_once(/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_xmlrpc/package.module.nextgen_xmlrpc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory

    include_once(): Failed opening ‘/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/wpcli/package.module.wpcli.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/opt/php54/lib/php’)

    Location wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/pope/lib/class.base_module.php:66

    I deactivated all plugins and only activated nextgen gallery, issue still exists.

    I tried reseting the options on nextgen and nothing helps.

    I have this plugin deactivated now any insight to fix this issue will help save my galleries.

  • Experiencing same issue.

    Plus 1…
    Nextgen team are aware of this as I complained just a few weeks ago. Their suggestion was to have empty files in the places where their plugin is trying to load missing files. This does remove the warnings, but it really isn’t a fix.
    Even after creating these files, there are still 50 warnings on our system, in both admin back end AND the customer front end. On top of that, you can’t cache the pages so these warnings are happening EVERY time someone goes to ANY page on your site.
    And the “fix” means that every time someone goes to any page on the site, it is trying to include loads of empty files, which surely slows things down? We have 11,000 page views a day on our site … it’s got to be having an impact.

    Nextgen – would you re-consider looking at this please?

    @sitedesigndev – Please send us a Bug Report (https://imagely.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) so we can get a better look under the page at your site.

    Please include as many details as you can about your site and the issue at hand so we can move on this as fast as possible.

    Thanks!

    It is easy to recreate. Simply install Nextgen gallery on a PHP 7 server, and look at the warnings it creates. I use query monitor plugin to see the warnings as I go from page to page.

    @madeglobal – I’m not seeing these on my PHP7 install … and your issue is different than the one being reported.

    Please start your own topic, if this is a new issue for you to report, or continue with the topic you have already started so we can try to help you with your specific issue on your specific site.

    Thanks!

    Has this ever been fixed? I just submitted a ticket on this exact issue so seeing this unresolved and the last answer has me scratching my head. Hopefully this has been resolved and just and easy fix. I have 72 PHP warnings and NGG is loading on every page even though there is no galleries on the posts or pages.

    Would be awesome to see this resolved with a solution.

    Still seeing PHP warnings such as these on our site.

    Declaration of M_Ajax::define() should be compatible with C_Base_Module::define($id = ‘pope-modul…’, $name = ‘Pope Modul…’, $description = ”, $version = ”, $uri = ”, $author = ”, $author_uri = ”, $context = false)

    And I agree. NGG loads all its bloat on every page, regardless of what is on that page.

    Thanks for confirming that it isn’t just me. I put a ticket in but I also tried searching for this being resolved and nothing. The error you posted is a copy of many of mine. I can’t believe I didn’t see these earlier. All of this time my website has been slow because of these errors and other plugins too. I am working on getting it fixed though.

    @adamx8 – I believe I see your ongoing conversation in our support queue … I’d be happy to have a look at it later on if the issue is persisting.

    Also to note, it would have been better to start your own topic for the concerns on your specific site (and its environment) as well.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Cais, and yes, I took it to support after this. I would have normally started my own, but this was unresolved for 9 months with the exact the same issue. It would have allowed for a community member to offer advice as well. Either way, just trying to reach out to the community so apologies if this isn’t the best way to find the answer.

    None the less, a solution would be really good!

    @adamx8 – No worries, I appreciate you wanted to share with the community and hoping to find an answer especially since we still have not been able to recreate this in our testing. All we have are reports from users and to get those sorted out we generally have to do some debugging on their sites directly.

    Thanks!
