Website running very slow

  • My website is running very slow, loading slow. My other pages are loading quick but not the blog page – I did recently change my theme and updated to 4.3. What can I do to fix the speed?

    WordPress 4.3 Master List:

    WordPress 4.3 accidentally contained a minor bug relating to term-splitting, which in some rare cases, can cause a large number of wp-cron jobs to build up which will never actually complete. This issue is already fixed, and the issue will be solved by WordPress 4.3.1.

    However, until that is ready, you can fix the problem yourself by following these instructions. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully and in the order that they are given:

    Thank you, I have sent that information to BlueHost since I do not have access to make those changes.

    Can you say how long it will be before 4.3.1 is ready?

    Not sure about the date. But, intuitively, it should not be too long.

    4.3.1 is doing same thing for me.. almost unloadable, other services on same server working fine.. all wordpress installs having serious issues all updated to 4.3.1_EN_AU

    Yep. 4.3.1 is unusable slow, and gets blank pages “ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED” before it loads… very slowly. Arrgh.

    Once I load I’m fine, everything comes up great but the load time is still very very slow. Can anyone tell us how long before we are fixed? I can’t run a web site this slow.

    And it does not show Themes from WP (popular, new etc.). The themes section is very slow.

    What browser are you using? In WP.org Facebook-page they say: ” Chrome released an update today to fix the admin menu issues. This is not a WordPress issue, but a Chrome issue. Update your Chrome to get the fix.”

    But it still is slow and broken in Themes :(.

    I have deactivated all plugings, emptied cache, updated Chrome..

    I use Chrome but I have tried the site on Explore and it’s as slow, so it’s not just a Chrome issue. I have no issues with the site other than “Loading times”. The time it takes to load times out the image from being posted to facebook, but not to twitter.

    Does wordpress themes work on any other server? Can I move the theme and site to another server or will I need to start over? I really hate to shut down but if load times do not get resolved soon I will not have a choice. I am pressured to move my site if the loads times are not fixed.

    Can anyone from wordpress look at my site and plugins to check if there are any conflicts that may need to be cleared?
