Hi, I’m trying to restore a site but I receive this message: “Website restore timeout”.

The zip is 49 MB, so I think it’s not something large for my web hosting. Anyway, I don’t know what to do…

    Can you help me?

    Thanks

    Brun

    Hi @chakenio,

Can you please send us the debug info through the Debug tab to help troubleshoot the issue?

In our experience, a timeout error is always related to some specific configurations on the server.

    Thanks and merry Christmas

    Hi guys!

I restored another site with your solution… extracted the all zip files, uploaded them one by one and restored successfully.

    Thanks a lot!

Here is the complete mail from support:

Depending on your debug information, the restore failed because there is a timeout error while extracting zip files. The timeout issue may be caused by your server condifuration such as the low value of php execution time and the limited disk I/O.

We have successfully restored on our test server and everything works well.

We extracted the all zip file and it includes six zip files such as DB, plugins, themes, Upload, core and content. We have uploade them one by one and restored successfully on your site.

The DB zip file is restored in wpvividbackups directory and the rest of zip files are in wpvividbackups\test directory. You can check them by using file manager plugin.

Based on your website environment, it is recommended to uncheck the option of ‘Merge all the backup files into single package when a backup completes’ to create a backup and restore it.
