  • Hi @alan27988,

Could you please let me know if you are using a custom child theme or one from the www.remarpro.com repository?
If it’s a custom one, please share what files you’ve changed in the child theme. It would be great if you could share the files so I can help.

Hi, the child theme i was using was the one provided in the hestia website. The only edit i did was remove the footer credits which was working fine until today’s update.

I could fix it by going back to the regular hestia theme so i’m not sure what caused this… I’d rather use the child theme but don’t want to risk this happening again.

Had the same issue. Also child theme from Hestia. What I did was rolling back to Hestia v1.1.77 (luckily it’s possible with WP admin)

    Hi,

Could you please let me know exactly which child theme are you using, so we can check/fix it?

    Thank you,
    Rodica

Exact same issue, using the child theme provided. All posts and custom posts are gone now. No errors are being thrown.

    Hi,

Could you please let me know exactly which child theme are you using? If I could have access to the child theme’s files, I could help with the new update for Hestia.

    Regards,
    Rodica

Well, I created a child theme by myself (with some basic changes like don’t show the author in page details).
Might be that some method or property was renamed in the parent theme, did not look at it yet

Same here–I used Child Theme Configurator to create a Hestia child theme. Looking over 1.1.77 vs 1.1.81 looks like a lot of changes took place…the thing is, I also made a lot of edits to my child theme. I thought using a child theme was supposed to prevent these kinds of problems.

The Child the is the one provided here https://docs.themeisle.com/article/656-how-to-create-a-child-theme-for-hestia Hestia(Lite) Child Theme.

Using it will make all blog posts dissapear (only title remains) from the live website but not from the wordpress dashboard.

    Hi,

In the latest update of the theme, we did refactor the code, to better accommodate future changes, and it is possible that some child themes need to be updated as well for this changes, according to what each user changed in the child theme.

I tried the Hestia(Lite) Child Theme from https://docs.themeisle.com/article/656-how-to-create-a-child-theme-for-hestia but the blog posts appeared just as normal.

Could you please share your site? And let me know if you’ve made any changes to the child theme?
All child themes can be accommodated with the new version of Hestia, and we can help, we just need to know exactly how the child themes are looking in the code.

    Regards,
    Rodica
