• Hi, I added the pixel as told by facebook (using the plugin). I added the pixel id and I checked if the pixel was working on fb (which showed a green light). I also checked using the pixel extension in chrome. I can access my analytics data although for some reason it says mediam session duration is 1 second when google analytics shows it to be at 1-2 minutes. The main issue is that when i go to ads manager and create an ad using custom audience, the website pixel does not show up. I go to create new audience > custom audience > website > pixel

It shows me my facebook page’s pixel but not my website pixel. The pixel id shown is also not the one of my website’s so I know it is the facebook page pixesl being shown and not the website’s. Am I missing something? Is the website pixel not to be shown there or is there some sort of issue? Everywhere else the pixel seems to be running (including fb’s business manager).

    My website is https://www.paradigmshift.com.pk

    Please help

    Thanks

  • Same question here as well. Did you manage to workout what was going on with this?

The pixel plugin sucks. I ended up removing the pixel and that plugin and then doing this instead:

    1. Create a Facebook pixel
    Go to Events Manager.
Click Connect data sources and select Web.
Select Facebook pixel and click Connect.
    Add your pixel name.
Enter your website URL to check for easy setup options.
    Click Continue.

    2. Add the Facebook pixel to your website
Once you’ve created your pixel, you’re ready to put the Facebook pixel code on your website.

Manually add pixel code to website (I would recommend doing manually – this is what I did)
    Go to Events Manager.
Select the pixel you want to set up.
    Click Continue pixel setup.
    Select Install code manually.
    Copy the pixel base code.
Find the header of your website or locate the header template in your CMS or web platform.
Paste the base code at the bottom of the header section, just above the closing head tag.

    Click Continue.
Optional: Toggle on Automatic advanced matching and verify the customer information that you want to send.
    Click Continue.
Add events using the Event setup tool or by manually adding code to your website.
