Website OK, but multiple plugins not working in dashboard

  • My website, Hayley on Holiday, is working fine. However, I have been having issues in the backend for about a week that I can’t seem to resolve. Basically none of my plugins are working properly:
    – my Google Analytics Dashboard widget isn’t loading
    – WP Fastest Cache is constantly loading
    – Pretty Links is taking me to a “not found” page.
    – I cannot delete comments or Broken Links either.

    I also can’t post any new content as I can’t add images (media library constantly loading) or add categories.

    I have deactivated and activated ALL plugins, but this hasn’t fixed the problem. I have asked my hosting provider (Hostmetro) for assistance, but they were unable to help, stating a developer might be able to find the solution.

  • Hi hayleyasimpson,

    Are you running the latest version of WordPress? Have you tried updating all the plugins and WordPress Core?

    Also, have you tried resetting your permalinks?

    Simply go to Settings>Permalinks on your WP Dashboard. Change the Permalinks to Default and click save.

    Thanks for your reply. When I go to my updates tab it says everything is updated, including WordPress and all plugins.

    When I go to settings>permalinks there’s no default but there is plain? I did that and still getting all of the loading messages everywhere!

    Hi @hayleyasimpson,

    The easiest way to solve this would be to do a fresh installation of WordPress and reinstall the plugins you’re having problems with.

    Do you have access to CPANEL or FTP on your web host?

    1. Please login to your CPanel and go to your Files Manager.
    2. Then backup your WP Database and wp-content folder.
    3. Do a fresh installation of WordPress.
    4. Restore Database and wp-content folder.
