    Dear Support,

I have taken out a paid account on the website security service since last weekend,

Then I have registered all websites and installed the plugin. Then I ran the malware scan, and one or more warnings came up on various websites. However, I did not know what to do with this and I removed this mash link from a website, with the result that this website is now offline.

What am I doing wrong, and what should I do with other reports. I had the feeling that this security tool took care of everything automatically.

    I like to hear it.
    Greetings Silvio

    Hi, Silvio.

The malware scanner finds files with potentially dangerous code. Sometimes developers for some reason use vulnerable signatures, and the code is strange but safe. So we do not recommend deleting anything.

In the meantime, I recommend you copy the same deleted file from your other website and place it in the same directory on your broken website.

In the future, please, use this guide to send potentially dangerous files for analysis: https://cleantalk.org/help/files-analysis.
We will check them and report the result.

    Did it help?

    Be well.

    Hi Katereij

    Thanks for your feedback.

But if I am not allowed to remove it, it is very special to me that I keep seeing a warning text next to my website.

But does it mean that I have to have every critical report checked 1 by 1 via that link.

I thought the system worked so that all technical errors would be automatically corrected.

We will answer you a little later. We need to decide on a way to solve your question.

The Malware scanner finds and shows you a vulnerability in code. What to do with the vulnerability is up to you. You can do a lot with files with a vulnerability: fix, delete, quarantine.

Please, read more about it: https://cleantalk.org/help/security-malware-scanner

When the scanner completes its work and returns the result – a list of files marked “Modified”, “Critical”, “Suspicious” etc, you need to decide what to do with it.

    You have the following options:
    1. You can transfer it to the webmaster. He’ll decide what to do.
    2. Give us files for analysis, we check and inform you whether it is dangerous or not, we do not make a decision for you.
    3. You decide for yourself what to do.

    Did that info help you?

    Be well.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
