Website not working :-(

  • Hi All and thanks for reading my post.

    I had installed wordpress for my website on my local machine and was doing the development on the machine itself. I finally installed it on my website at https://www.bhooshan.com/new. The installation procedure included the following:
    a€￠ Uploading all the local files and folders to the server.
    a€￠ uploading the .htaccess file
    a€￠ Installing the Blix theme and other plugins
    a€￠ Changing the paths in the files from https://localhost to the online server path https://bhooshan.com/new

    However inspite of all this my website is not working. Only the home page is visible and nothing else. I want some help regarding this and I will be grateful if someone can provide it.

  • uploading the .htaccess file

    Make a new one.
    Is mod_rewrite enabled ?
    Have you changed the ‘site url’ and ‘home’ values in the db ?

    Hi Podz. Could you explain the mod_rewrite rule again in detail? How do I enable it and from where?

    I have changed the site URL and home values. I did a search in the database for ‘localhost’ and changed all the values simultaneously.

    Options > Misc > Permalinks and click Update should start to sort things out.
