Website not loading on SSL due to mixed content from plugin

I also had an issue – my site was showing as unsecure = no SSL. I worked out from my domain host query to nopadlock.com that it was due to this plugin. I had to delete it to get the ‘https’ back. Copied text:

An image with an insecure url of “https://www.popcycle.uk/wp-content/uploads/sb-instagram-feed-images/116371731_290133588962491_7762741153795821242_nlow.jpg” was loaded via the javascript file: https://www.popcycle.uk/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp on line 2. The insecure URL may not be directly contained in the script file and may exist elsewhere.
You may need to contact your web hosting provider for assistance. This URL will need to be updated to use a secure URL for your padlock to return.

Most likely this is due to two things: a mismatch in your WordPress site settings (ensure both WordPress Adress URL and Site Address URL have HTTPS and not HTTP. This could also be a leftover from moving the page from a staging site.

After ensuring you have HTTPS in both these fields go to Instagram Feed > Customize > Misc > click Reset Resized Images which will then make the plugin correctly save these local copies with the HTTPS protocol.
