Website not found

  • Trying to ressurect a site that hasn’t been touchef in a couple of years. 404 errors, can’t log in to wordpress from my hosting account. Host provider says may be white screen of death, but I can’t access wordpress. Google search says server not found, but my domain seems to be directed correctly to my hosting account. Not sure where to begin.. Thanks.

    You don’t need dashboard access:
    -can you access your database to see what tables and content is present?
    -can you access your files via FTP or webhosting file manager to see which WordPress files and directories are available?

    outdated plugins, themes and WordPress version can create various errors.
    most are correctable.

    Lisa: Thanks for your help and advice. I’ll check it out. Do you offer WordPress repair or know of someone affordable?
