• Good day,

I recently received an email from my web host stating that they tried to upgrade our PHP to v8.0 but it failed. I do not understand why and they have not given a reason. Could it be that my theme (iFeature Pro 5 Version: 5.1.0.6) is not compatible with with latest PHP version 8.0?

Our host now needs to charge us extra each month to maintain the website on PHP v.7.3

“`As promised in an email last week, we attempted to upgrade your site(s) to PHP v8.0. Unfortunately, we were unable to complete the upgrade on the following site:
    orphansunlimited.org
Our system encountered at least one critical error during the upgrade process, and your site was automatically revertedto your previous PHP version (v7.3) as a precautionary measure. We’ve logged these errors for your convenience and have included them at the bottom of this email in case you would like to try upgrading on your own. See error report
Important Account Changes: PHP Extended Support
All websites running outdated, unsupported versions of PHP are required to include our PHP Extended Support service. This service will be added to your account on May 11, 2022 for an additional $5.00 monthly charge per account and will be automatically removedwhen all of your sites have upgraded to a supported version of PHP.`”

Please could anyone assist with a way forward? Preferably where we can avoid extra costs.

    Thank you
