    Hi Guido

We’ve succesfully installed your plugin on our clients website (see link) but it doesnt seem to work on smartphone. Is this working as intended, or a bug?

    Hi,

That’s very strange because plugin only uses date/time to close site. So it does not take screen-type into account. Maybe a cache issue? On what day site is closed? Sundays?

    Hi Guido,

Yes indeed, on sundays. My initial thought was that perhaps, if it takes time from the device watching the page, the way time is decided might be different on a mobile device?

What would you recommend we try?

    Hi,

No, it uses time from the WordPress cms and that’s the local server time. So this is always the same in every device/browser.

I would like to see this for myself, so I can check next sunday or you must temporary close your site before sunday and let me know via this forum.

    Hi Guido,

Thanks for your reply. We’ll be disabling our caching plugin (Litespeed) this friday so we can all check this coming sunday. The site to watch is https://veluwevespatours.nl/.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Mark,

May have something to do with caching. Maybe you’re seeing a cached version in mobile.

We’re gonna check this coming sunday. Hopefully thats the answer ’cause that’d mean a simple solution! ?

    Hi,

Sorry, forgot to check it yesterday. Did you?

    Hi Guido,

I did, and indeed it seemed to be an issue with the Litespeed caching plugin. Unfortunatly, disabling Litespeed isn’t an option either, so we’re gonna have to think of a workaround. Additionally, it seems the text on the “closed” page that displays has been smooshed all the way to the right, in a 1/6 width column for some reason, probably thanks to WPBakery Page Builder not playing nice with the plugin.

Perhaps I can make it so Litespeed Caching flushes the cache every saturday night, I guess that would solve the first issue. Not quite sure about the second, but if need be I’ll simply dump all the text in an image file and only load the image.

    Hi,

As far as I know only CSS from my plugin is loaded, so other stylesheets (such as the one from WPBakery) are not.

Do you have a test install with both plugins activated, so I can inspect the source code myself? Otherwise I have to wait till next sunday. Or perhaps close current site for like an hour or so on a specific time?

    Hi Guido,

We’ve put a copy of the site on our testing server– LiteCache plugin is disabled for testing, but everything else remains the same. Which email may we use to give you login access?

Dutch? Zal ik je even een bericht sturen via jullie website? Ik deel mijn e-mailadres niet hier.

    Update:
Not closed in mobile screen was caused by browser cache or the caching plugin.
And the “smooshed layout” was caused by custom CSS.
