Website navigation dropdown not working

  • Ever since the release of 6.2.9, the dropdowns in the main navigation of my website no longer show/function on all sub-pages. They only show and function correctly on the homepage. When viewing other pages they disappear, also meaning that the mobile menu (hamburger) doesn’t work, it’s not clickable. I’ve had to deactivate the plugin to make the website functional. I see that version 6.3 was just released and reactivated the plugin; but the same issue persists. The website is built with Elementor Pro and the header is built with the theme builder.

    I would then forward it to the developer team to fix the issues in the upcoming updates. There is nothing to be worried about, we will fix the issues, I also appreciate you for reporting the issues.

    Please send details as steps to reproduce in a fresh WordPress.

    Also, can you please provide some info on the plugins and the theme you have too?

    Thanks for the reply. The steps are: when MEC version 6.2.9 was released, the dropdown menus stopped working on all subpages, the caret is no longer visible and hover doesn’t show the dropdowns (all pages expect for the homepage). On mobile, the hamburger menu only works on the homepage. When on subpages, the hamburger menu is not clickable.

    The site is built with Elementor Pro with the Hello theme.

    How can we replicate your steps to arrive at the issue on a fresh WordPress installation?

    Since you have Elementor Pro, please contact your page builder plugin author. Maybe they have a solution that we are not aware of.

    Elementor is telling me to contact yourselves. The issue is with MEC not Elementor Pro because if I disable the MEC plugin everything works fine. When MEC is active the menu no longer functions. What more can I tell you?

    The steps are as follows: When version 6.2.9 was released, the main navigation dropdowns stopped working so I’ve had to deactivate MEC. When MEC is deactivated, the dropdowns work. When MEC is activated, the dropdowns don’t work. I’ve been using MEC on this website for about four years up until the release of 6.2.9 as it causes the navigation dropdowns to not work.

    To clarify, this is NOT a new installation.
