    Hi,

I am trying out UpdraftCentral and have tried both installing the plugin on a “master” WordPress website and using the cloud-hosted version on updraftplus.com.

The main feature I am wanting to try out is the website migration feature, but I cannot see how to do this anywhere in the UpdraftCentral Dashboard. I searched the FAQs and this forum for a similar question but could not find anything.

To be able to migrate websites using UpdraftCentral, do the sites I want to migrate also have to have the “Migrator” feature or UpdraftPlus Premium installed?

The UpdraftCentral landing page gives the impression that you only need UpdraftCentral + UpdraftPlus to be able to migrate websites. Please could you clarify?

    Thanks,
    Gareth

    Hi Gareth,

Thanks for your interest in UD/UC… your suspicions are correct: the features of UpdraftPlus which UpdraftCentral can control depend upon what version of UpdraftPlus is installed. It can’t control features which aren’t there. UC itself doesn’t add features to UD: rather, it controls what’s there from afar.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion @davidanderson.

Is there any way to try out the migration tool or Premium features before purchasing. If they work well for me I am quite keen to purchase a license for UpdraftPlus Premium for at least 10 sites.

    Thanks,
    Gareth

    Hi Gareth,

No, that isn’t possible. We do have an active multi-person support team for any issues you encounter. Both products are big sellers and have been on the market for 4 years, so, in general, you can assume they work!
