Website Members Can't Reset Their passwords

  • Hello there.

    The problem is simple to describe and as I have seen so far many people struggle with it but I can’t say that I have managed to end up with an answer to my issue.

    The Problem:

    When a member forgets his pass and goes through the reset password option, while everything looks fine and functioning, his password is never being reset and his new chosen pass in never stored inside the database (This happens even if I try to do this with the admin account).

    The Steps They Take:

    1) They Request to be sent an email to reset their password
    2) They receive the email including a link like this one
    ( https://www.edropian.com/wp-login.php?action=rp&key=Fwlj7lBbC6kLAI8K0jBV&login=THEIRUSERNAME )

    3)They click the link and they are taken to the wordpress reset password screen where there is pre-generated pass for them which they can alter as they like and then complete this step by clicking on the reset password button

    4) They are taken to the login screen to log in

    5) They try to log in with the new password and their attempt fails and fails a number of times as long as most of them makes a number of attempts before contacting :S

    DETAILS:

    The only way so far to change their pass is if I go and do it manually within phpmyadmin inside the database but as you can imagine this is not the way to go as long as the site is expanding.

    The site is on Cloudflare and runs W3 TC ( I am saying this to point out that I have tried already to deactivated both and with cleared cash browser aside I tried to see if anything changes but the issue remains. Probably it is not a caching issue … right?)

    AS you will notice on the site Buddy-press is installed so you won’t be taken in first place on the predefined by WordPress WP log in screen but the reset screen is the default wordpress page.

    Please let me know for any detail you might want me to provide to you to help you Help fix this issue because it ruins the whole idea behind this website.
