• hey guys.
    i visited my website today and for some reson it reverted to the default looking wordpress, complete with the “demo” post. none of my posts seem to be there. however strangely enough, all my files are on the server. nothing seems to have been deleted

    i didn’t edit anything. i just visited today and it appeared like that.

    does it have something to do with .htaccess or my host?

    https://www.fish8me.com

    thanks guys.
    Ronny.

    I think i just launched

    i just started a new e-zine (that’s code for group blog) over at https://www.publicdisplayunit.net

    if you have something you think you want to add to the e-zine (read:blog) feel free to go over and contribute a post. that’s right, anybody can write a post for the blog.

    Try clearing your bowser cache, cookies?

    Can you look at the tables in your mysql database to see if they’re populated with stuff you’ve added?
    To see if it’s .htaccess – rename it temporarily and check your site.

    thanks for the fast reply podz.
    that is strange. no matter how i refresh (ctrl-f5), i still can’t see it like it should be.

    how does https://www.froliconyour.com and https://www.publicdisplayunit.net look to you? because these are all my “group” of website running together by the same host. and frolic is giving me the same problems, but i seem to be able to view the publicdisplayunit ok.

    thanks again.
    Ronny.

    samboll:
    i can’t see any problems in the mysql. but then again i don’t know what i’m looking for. however i do know that no one has been editing these things. this problem has seemingly “occured on its own”.

    i do have this message there though

    Connection Strings
    Perl $dbh = DBI->connect("DBI:mysql:fish8me_wrdp1:localhost","fish8me_wrdp1","<PASSWORD HERE>");
    PHP $dbh=mysql_connect ("localhost", "fish8me_wrdp1", "<PASSWORD HERE>") or die ('I cannot connect to the database because: ' . mysql_error());
    mysql_select_db ("fish8me_wrdp1");

    i also tried changing my .htaccess name. nothing happened. same “default setting” loaded.

    frolic has a problem, the other does not.
    You need phpmyadmin to look at the database – your host could have screwed up.

    yup podz. i really can’t see neither https://www.fish8me.com nor https://www.froliconyour.com can someone else confirm if either is working? thanks.

    i do have phpmyadmin, but i guess if its my host who screwed something up, i’ll leave it to them to fix it. as it is i haven’t “meddled” with it yet, so i don’t want to make things worse. this sure as heck isn’t something which i did on my side.

    thanks alot for the quick support. really appreciate it.

    fish looks okay, frolic looks like a new install.

    Same here.

    Both pages look completely the same to me: nonstarted pages!
    Sorry!

    yeah same for me. i get 2 fresh install pages too. this is really weird.

    This is weird – they both look like new installs to me now. A few minutes ago fish was a functioning blog.
