Website layout not working on mobile devices

Hi,

I am using the Neve theme, and I like the layout the website has on a computer, but on tablets and mobile devices the layout doesn’t work, for example the text is squashed to one side and not in line with the imagery and the homepage is very wide with a big blank space underneath. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to remedy it?
