• Hey,

The English version of my Homepage (https://dark-mark.com/en/) has 2 Metadescriptions Descriptions (See the attached images with “Dark Mark EN”:

    1. The correct one: <meta name=”description” content=”Dark Mark is the party starter of your evening! There is a flavour for everyone that is perfect for shots or mixes.”.
    2. And a wrong one that should be deleted (which for some reason also shows an old metadescription of another language): “meta name=”description” content=”Dark Mark is de ultieme party-startende drank met verschillende smaken, zoals bijvoorbeeld drop, appel, framboos en meer.”>”.

On my site I use the plugin Polylang (which supports Elementor) to translate all of my pages and Yoast SEO to add metadescriptions. So far I’ve tried changing the metadescription on the English page, which didn’t have any effect and resetting the indexables tables & migrations. Besides this I don’t know how long this issue is occuring. It could’ve possibly started when I recently changed the original language on https://dark-mark.com/ to Dutch in Polylang which used to be English.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,
Polylang doesn’t output any meta description. It allows to translate the Yoast SEO meta description which seems to be the first one.

I invite you to test with all plugins and mu-plugins deactivated and with a default theme. Then first activate Yoast SEO which should output one meta description and then your theme and your other plugins until you detect which one is responsible for the second meta description (an hypothesis is that it could be hardcoded in a custom them or custom plugin if you have custom code on your install).
