Website is currently down, really not sure why

  • Hello,
    For some reason, my website https://www.adventistsconnect.gq is currently down. When I visit it, I get an error page with this message:

    “The website you were trying to reach is temporarily unavailable.
    Please check back soon.
    If you are the owner of this website, please contact Technical Support as soon as possible.”

    I saw some others with the same issue, but it seemed to be caused by a variety of issues.
    I’m just not sure where to start. Help would really be appreciated!

    And PS: I think I’m on WordPress version 4.5.2, but I’m not sure. It could have been updated to 4.5.3.

    have you checked in with your webhost to see if they are having any system troubles?
    do you think your webhosting account and domain name are still active?

    I have not checked the webhost, as I am not in control of it, unfortunately. I will contact the person who is.
    I have checked the domain name, it is still active.
