Website is blank when activating new theme

    I am looking to use a popular theme – Sharpfolio.

    When I activate it on the admin panel the site is just blank but the admin works fine. Soon as I change back to the default themes they are fine. I know there is not issues with this theme as I have used it elsewhere….

    anyone have any ideas, maybe it is something simple but I cannot work it out.

  • I have the same problem.

    I am new to wordpress, and want to use it as my portfolio site.
    When I activate the Sharpfolio-Theme, I only get a blank screen – all other themes work though.

    What can I do ?

    Often I have found that when this happens it means that there is something wrong with the functions.php file in your theme. Try removing that file from the server and see if it works in order to narrow down the route of the problem.

    I’m having the same problem – When I choose the alternate theme, it comes up on the screen ok – but if I leave here without doing anything else and go to my site, it is a blank page when I view it in Explorer.
    So I went back to the Design/themes selector, choose the theme again and this time – when I got the screen with the image of my home page, I saw a grey area just above it – Mine says “Active your theme…” yours may say something different – Click on it – it’s a hyperlink that actually makes the change hold.

    Hola, les comunico mi problema:
    El día de hoy al ingresar a mi wp-admin, me dirigí a la zona de Escribir, para hacer un nuevo artículo en mi blog y resulta que me faltan todas las opciones que del texto, es decir me falta el boton de escribir con negrita, el de escribir así torcido, el de agregar links/enlaces y demás
    Es decir me falta esta barra:

    Alguién me puede ayudar a resolver esto?

    La versión de WP que uso es la 2.3 ya que es la que me resulta más comoda.

    I have the latest version of Sharpfolio.
    Removing the functions.php didn’t change anything…
    I really don’t know what I could try else, but I’d really like to get this theme working – it would fit perfectly for my use.
