I was in the process of installing and setting up everything for Ultimate Member Support and noticed my homepage stopped working on my site. The error message that appears tells me the site redirected too many times and that my cookies need to be cleared.
I tried clearing out my cookies, my cache on both the website and the browser, and even tried using another device but nothing seems to work.

All the other web pages are working fine, it’s only the homepage having issues when I have the plugin activated. I had to temporarily deactivate the plugin because I can’t have website downtime while I try to resolve this issue.

Is there a setting I need to change to have the plugin work correctly? Is it possible I have something else installed on my site causing this issue?

    Thanks in advance

  • I’m not someone who works for UM, but I’m wondering if you have the homepage option accidentally unticked.

Under Ultimate Member, go to User Roles.
Click on every role you have people use and make sure, under HomePage Options, that “Can view default homepage” is checked.

    Hi @jligrani,

Have you set any redirects or access restrictions in Ultimate member -> SEttings -> Access tab? Please make sure that you’ve correctly assigned Ultimate member pages in Ultimate member -> Settings – General -> Pages.
This issue can be also caused by some conflicts with your theme or one of your plugins.
Please do a quick conflict test and see if this issue goes away.
Here is the doc on how to do a quick conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Regards.

Thanks for your help, it looks like my issue was related to the assigned pages.
I uninstalled the plugin, and then reinstalled it. Then I added a separate page to use for my Login/Logout/Password Reset from what I used in my Profile/Members/Registration/User pages. Once I organized all of my pages so none would link to my homepage, and so not all of the pages were directed to the same place, the issue was fixed!
    Thanks again
