I made a few changes on my website and it loads just fine on my laptop.

I always attach my website’s URL in my twitter or instagram bio area to advertise it. However, whenever I click on my website link via twitter or instagram, my home page is stuck on my old theme. It displays old posts (some I’ve already deleted, but still show up) and doesn’t look like how it’s supposed to. This only happens when I click the link attached on either my Twitter account or Instagram account, because when I go on safari and type in my url, it shows up like how it does on my laptop– updated and loads fine.

I hope someone can help me with this, I don’t want my readers to be lead to an old page and be shown old posts every time they click my link via twitter/instagram.

  • Hello joycecrls, & welcome. Could you please post your site url as well as your instagram/Twitter url in your next reply?

Joyce, your Twitter points to an https:// site, whereas your website points to an https:// version.

I changed it to https:// just today to see if that was the problem but I originally had it on https://

Anyway, I changed it back to https:// after reading your reply and suddenly it loaded fine for twitter. Then I checked instagram and the link still lead me to my old homepage (this link is https:// still). So I thought if I tried changing it to https:// then back to https:// it would change it just like with twitter, and it did! So odd. Thanks for the help, Jackie! Probably a glitch…

Glad to have helped, Joyce. If you could please mark the topic as resolved so the volunteers here will know you no longer need help, it’d be very much appreciated. Thank you.
