Website header image PNG? JPG? Vector?

    I’d like to update my website header.
    So I’m looking on Fiverr for a logo designer.
    Do I need a vector image or would PNG or JPG be OK?

    After I’ve got my logo in the right file format, do I then need a header designer or could I just upload the logo to the thesis (1.86) backend?

    Any help would be appreciated.
