• Hey

I have lost my entire site over a matter of days. There are no revisions to revert to and it’s now been restored to original theme settings.

Nothing to my knowledge happened to cause this. I was just wondering if anyone could take a look at my site or if anyone had any words of wisdom as to how I may be able to rescue at least some of it?

I hadn’t used any additional backup system (aside from what WordPress offers as standard) which is my bad – won’t make the same mistake again! So it’s a case of mining for information and trying to understand why this might have happened.

    Thanks in advance ??

  • Hello,

Might be your hosting provider can help you in this case.

Currently looking at your site, it seems all the data like Pages, Post has vanished and you see a default Hello World Post now.

Also check once on the server/cPanel any old backups are placed. if you have used a paid theme, some theme also has such setting.

I hope you are lucky enough and hosting can help you with this.

Let me know if I can help you any further on this.

    Thanks.

look in phpmyadmin area (ususally in cPanel) for the database connected to your website.
the database tables hold all of the content of your pages and posts.
as suggested by kartiks16 — chat with your webhosting company for assistance to find the database and get help exploring the tables.
