Trying this plugin out and I noticed that the plugin ignores the default fields in the user profile — which makes sense. But the thing I am wondering, how would we include the website field into the author box.

It doesn’t make sense to create an additional field within Author Box since duplicating them might be confusing.

    What do you think?

Just a quick note, I also saw that some of the social link fields have been duplicated from the default fields in the user profile. I chose to hide those from the user profile interface in favour of the Author Box fields.

Just insert the website link as a link using the HTML a href tags code. It works fine this way.

Into which field? You mean the Bio field?

What I am wondering is a field for the icons that appear at the bottom of the author box. (Just in case I wasn’t clear.)

Yes, if you want to include a link within the text, just add an HTML hyperlink code into the “Biographical Info” field.

Or if you want to add a link to a custom website next to the social icons, then I’m sorry, but this is not possible.
