Favorites in Themes and Plugins

  • So the mechanism behind the hearting/saving favorites in the category of plugins and themes is NOT the same. I notice that the heart pulses in the Plugins category but not in the Themes category. The heart is smaller in Plugins AND it refreshes the page automatically (or something) to show your newly favorited items in the plugins category. The Themes category of favoriting is kinda broken when compared to the themes, I have to log out and log back in or refresh my favorites page to see the newly favorited Themes. Can someone fix this??

    Thank you for pointing out these problems. The reason themes is different from plugins is unsurprising, they are running under different plugins. The WordPress sites have been undergoing significant transitions and for various reasons the theme repository UI is being transitioned later than the others. Eventually the two repositories will have virtually identical UIs. Sadly, there are many things that need to be resolved before this can happen. Believe it or not, progress is being made. We don’t have the luxury of experimenting with a staging site, changes are made directly to the production site, so great care must be taken before making even small changes. It’s slow going.
