  • Youll need to connect via FTP and deactivate the plugin ‘kopa-nictitate-toolkit’ which seems to be causing the issue you are facing.

    Thanks,

I don’t know what does that mean. How can I connect via FTP. I would need “for dummies” instructions on this please.

    Thanks so much,

    Milla

I’m sorry I can’t provide you instruction on how to connect via FTP as it is a very involved process and your login credentials are personal to you. You’ll need to carry out the research on your own. I can provide you with a link to the codex page, where you can then follow the instructions.

    Evan,

Thank for your reply, however I don’t this is the best support you can give me. The reason because I am using WordPress is because I don’t how to program or do any related task. I don’t feel capable of modifying the source code of my site, and it doesn’t look as simple as just connecting via FTP and deleting the plugin.

I would appreciate further help. It is unacceptable that my site just crashed, it has been down for three days, and WordPress can’t do anything about it.

    Thanks in advance,

    Millali

If you can visit your site address via HTTP, enter a username and password and then find yourself looking at an administration screen, this is essentially all you would do via FTP. An address and some login credentials are all you need.

An FTP client like Filezillla is simply an old fashioned two panel file manager. In one panel is a local directory and in the other a remote one. If you follow the instructions in the link provided by Evan, you’ll end up visiting your site via FTP. Once there, navigate to wp-content/plugins and rename or delete the problematic one.

This may be outside your current comfort zone but it’s really easy and a skill vital to understand if you’re managing any website. Once learned, you will be able to carry out this task in seconds.

    Please help
My website is down..www.rivcosquaredance.com and I can’t even log into my admin..I get an error message that the page can’t be found.

    Trying not to panic.

My site is down and was also last night about this same time. I contacted GoDaddy last night, but by the time we were done trying to figure it out, it was back up. Now, down again. Problem? igdid.org

    Hi

My website is down again. https://www.beadkreative.com
Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_template_directory_uri() in /mounted-storage/home61b/sub002/sc38737-WIYB/beadkreative.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5

I think I messed up the functions.php file, is there a way I can get a new one to put?

    Thanks!
