• A few minutes ago, I did the update to the latest version of Event Rocket. I then updated The Events Calendar as well. Following the second update, I received the following messages on my plugin screen:

Warning: require_once(/home/tdi33071/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-rocket/inc/jettison.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/tdi33071/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-rocket/launcher.php on line 36

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/tdi33071/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-rocket/inc/jettison.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php53/pear’) in /home/tdi33071/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-rocket/launcher.php on line 36

Unless you can respond quickly, I will have to proceed with a restore from backup on my site at https://www.tdi3.org. This of course means that everything done this morning, including multiple new directory entries done by others, will be gone.

Is there anything else I can do? Based on the error message, I’m assuming this is an Event Rocket issue, though based on the timing, perhaps it is an issue with integration to the latest version of TEC?

    Please help.

I gave up after two hours down and am now restoring the site from backup. Respectfully, it would be great if the forums were monitored for emergency situations.

I am restoring but now don’t know that I want to install the two plug-in updates that see to have caused this issue. Any ideas on what may have gone wrong?

Any advice would be very welcome.
    Thank you.

After restoring my site, I updated The Events Calendar with no issues. I then tried the Event Rocket update again, and it gave me the same errors as above.

I am on WP 4.0, TEC 3.8, and living on Event Rocket 1.5.1.

Notably, after all of these issues, ER is now numbering the events on the front page of my site again. I’m going to try to figure out how to correct that.

    My site: https://www.tdi3.org.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

    Hi Margaret,

Thanks first of all for reporting this: I’m really sorry you hit difficulties and I’ve released a fix (2.1) which should, hopefully, address this. If you could test it out that would be fantastic.

Respectfully, it would be great if the forums were monitored for emergency situations.

That would certainly be fantastic, but the reality is I cannot stand on guard 24/7 looking out for bug reports.

There’s no big business behind this plugin, I’m afraid, just one man and his dog. Realistically what I can generally do is check-in once a week or thereabouts – but I offer no guarantees.

Notably, after all of these issues, ER is now numbering the events on the front page of my site again. I’m going to try to figure out how to correct that.

I’m not quite sure what this means, but it sounds like a quite different problem from what you initially reported: would you mind creating a separate thread for this?
