Website displaying HTML text

    Hi folks,

    I recently encountered an error when updating my website. I had not touched my website since July 2020 and recent;y I logged in my wordpress account an decided it was a good idea to update ALL my plugins at the same time. Obviously I ran into errors! ??

    Here is a photo of my website:

    If I enable my “disable gutenbern” plug in this is what I see in page editor:

    All my icons and blocks have been turned into HTML text and so far I have done the following

    -I’ve disabled all my plugins
    – Update wordpress….uninstalled/re-installed it.
    – disable/enabled/disabled visual editor in settings
    – Added define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false); — to wp-content.php file.

    Nothing has helped so far. I could really use some help restoring my webpage I hope I provided enough information.

    Hello,

    From the screenshot it looks like your page builder (WPBakery) plugin is not active which is why you are seeing it’s shortcodes displayed instead of the actual blocks.

    Can you confirm if you have it active and up-to date. Also, if you have a recent backup you can restore to that will also solve your problem in the interim.

    My page bulder plugin was giving me errors, so I restored a previous version and activated the plugins and we are back in business!
