Website Display issues in IE

My website looks great in Google Chrome, and displays how it should.

However it’s a different matter in Internet Explorer (I’m using IE11)

I presume it’s a compatibility issue with the Melos theme? Other than telling my users to view with Chrome, is there anything I can do in the background to make the website display correctly in IE? (please bear in mind I’m also not a programming genius, so solutions need to be explained simply!!!)

I’ve tried to search the forums for similar issues but have come up blank.
