• Hey everyone, first time posting here. I have been with wordpress for a while. This is my second site with them. I started out on wordpress.com/ but migrated my entire site to self hosted a while back. Things have been going great, until I went on my phone to check my site stats, and my site couldn’t be found.

When searching in the address bar this pops up (I have charter):

    We Couldn’t Find That Page
But we’ve found these search results for you instead of displaying an error message. You can change this setting if you’d prefer a simple error message next time.

It still shows my posts on Google, but the actual site won’t work. Not even my admin login can be found? Has anyone had similar issues?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

As you registered the domain through WordPress.com, you need to renew it there.

Ahhh gotcha, that makes sense (I feel really stupid now..).
Is there a way to not have it through wordpress.com? I would rather not pay for the premium on wordpress.com, when I am using self hosted. And just pay for the domain itself.

First, you’ll need to renew the domain. You can’t do anything while it’s expired except that.

Once it’s renewed, you can transfer it to another registrar. There are many. I use Google domains for all of mine. (https://google.com/domains)

As you’re not hosting on wordpress.com, you don’t need to pay “premium”. Due to the differences between the various site hosting plans offered at wordpress.com and the self-hosted and self-installed version of WordPress supported here, you should probably ask WordPress.com Support instead.

Is there a way to just renew the domain? Instead of the entire wordpress.com membership?
