Website deleted after restore

I recently pulled an update from my staging site to live, realised there had been an error, then restored to the most recent backup. The result was that my entire live site has been wiped, only the staging site remains.

I can only “pull” updates from the live site, I cannot push from staging. Since I cannot log in, I cannot restore my website.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or what might have caused it? It’s the first time I’ve done a restore so I’m really scared of permanently losing my entire business.
