    This is likely caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

    The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. Finally, test to see if the issue is resolved.

    To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, continue to the next step – reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

    I thought this was the case at first however I have multiple categories which I’ve attempted to export and some of them do work absolutely fine

    It is only a select number of categories that won’t export

    Your site’s WP Memory Limit is 1 GB therefore a shortage of memory is not expected, but please do share the error logs so we can check further. Please go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and use the drop-down at the top to find any fatal error logs. Hopefully, there will be some error messages here to help point us to what’s at the root of the problem. Please let us know what you find.

    On a side note, you may want to be sure that you are using the correct format for the CSV. You can download a sample CSV file here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/tree/master/sample-data

    If possible please share your CSV file (you can use Google Drive/Drobox or any online file-sharing service, and share the link here)

    Thanks for sharing the error logs.

    The errors are about memory shortage and in most cases are related to caching. It seems that the caching plugins are eating up too much memory.

    Can you please first disable the WP-Optimize - Clean, Compress, Cache: by David Anderson Ruhani Rabin plugin and see if that helps?

    Next, you may want to have your host disable the Dropin plugin advanced-cache.php.

    Before disabling either of these, I’d recommend purging all cache from both the plugins. Next, you’ll want to configure the plugin not to cache the cart, checkout, and My Account pages. Here’s a helpful guide – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/configuring-caching-plugins/

    I have deactivated the plugin and it has still not resolved the situation

    It only seems to be certain categories that won’t export which is strange

    You’re getting a memory exhausted error but your 1GB WP memory limit should be more than enough for your configuration.

    Did you find out something through your WP Memory plugin about what might require such high memory usage? Another common recommendation would be to get in touch with the host that has tools to check the server logs and see if there is anything taking up too much memory.

    Also, when you do a conflict test make sure to disable all plugins (except WooCommerce) and change the theme to Storefront. If this test is not performed accurately, the result may be different than expected.

    If the issue persists, can you tell us which steps you follow to export the products and if you’re using the default product exporter tool or a plugin?

    I’ve changed the theme back to default, de-activated and re-activated all plugins and still seeing the issue

    I’m using the default exporter tool to attempt to export categories

    I have other categories set up with a much higher product count so I think there’s something wrong with the category itself

    I’ve read the CSV is not exporting. Can you tell us what is the error message received when exporting the items/categories? (If any), or is the exporter just stuck?

    Can you please confirm if you disable all plugins except WooCommerce, try to export the products, before reactivating the other plugins?

    Also, as suggested by Mirko P., have you tried to contact your host and see if there is anything taking up too much memory?

    I can confirm that I’ve tried that

    I haven’t been able to contact my hosts though to find out whether that may be the case, but I don’t understand why certain categories will export and others won’t

    Does this mean that a CSV file can’t be created because the page gets stuck?

    If that’s so, do you see any errors in the browser console? Here’s an article with more info on how to open the browser console.

    Everything seems fine on your side. I’d recommend installing a query monitor plugin to double-check what action is exhausting your server memory and returning an error 500.

    Another option is to analyze your server logs, you may need to reach out directly to your hosting company for that, and also, ask them to purge the cache on their side too.
