Having recently updated to WordPress 5.9, today I began updating plugins, everything was successful, but after completion the site went down, I deactivated plugins to see if something went wrong, the moment I deactivate WooCommerce the website works again.

I tried to delete and reinstall Version 6.1.1 of WooCommerce, but still the same issue. As soon as I activate everything freezes, the site is none responsive.

I have now rolled back to woocommerce 6.0.0 and it seems to be fine now, but I obviously want to update.

    Hi @zavakz,

As a first step, you will want to do a conflict test by changing the theme to Storefront and temporarily deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce to see if the issue is caused by a plugin/theme conflict. If your site works as expected, then update WooCommerce and check again.

Here are the steps for doing a conflict test: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi Mirko P.

Thanks for your response. I ended up using a database cleaner, randomly chose ‘Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions’ plugin and also using ‘WP Rollback’ I rolled back to 6.0.0 and tried to update again. I think I also tried to update to 6.1.0 and so it seemed to work so I never got a chance to follow your steps to narrow down if it’s the plugin acting up between those versions or my host timing out somewhere.

Either way, thank you for your help.

    Hi,

It is great that you were able to find a way forward.
