Website crashes .. Renewal Orders Don't Process

  • Evening,

    I have a unique problem with our wordpress/woocommerce site and it has been an issue pretty much ever since we have been using woocommerce and Stripe. Every few months or so, our website goes down and it requires a reboot. As a precursor to the site failing, woocommerce stops processing renewal orders. New orders continue to come in just fine (we are using subscriptions). However, I can tell the website is having issues because renewal orders will stop.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Update: So I thought the site was going to crash again but for the first time, it released the renewal orders all at once. So around 11pm EST we had over 20 orders process through Stripe and generate renewal orders for our subscriptions.

    Could anyone explain this behavior?

    So just to update this:

    I watched a renewal order today and as it should, it counted down to the minute until the next charge. However, it did not charge out. Then the next payment date just changed to today.

    Any ideas what might be causing this? This issue has just popped up on us.

    It sounds like there may be an issue with WP-Cron.
