• Hi,

I installed your plugin and during compression my website crashed with the following message:

    Temporarily Unavailable
We apologize for the inconvenience, but this page is currently unavailable. Please check back again later.
    504 Gateway Timeout
The backend service failed to respond within the expected amount of time.”

I tried to login again into my admin several times and it displays this massage. I need help!

    Thank you!

    Hi @kat08,

There’s a process on your website which takes too long time to respond. I’m not sure there’s something about our plugin as it won’t load anything particular at your website boot.
Anyway, several ideas to bring your website back :
    – Ask your hosting provider to provide you PHP error log, it should be instructive (feel free to copy/paste them in this thread)
    – If you think it really has something to do with resmush.it plugin and if you can access to your websites files, go to your FTP, and remove the folder wp-content/plugins/resmushit-image-optimizer. If your website is back, it’s due to the plugin (and it’s strange).

    Hope it helped,
    Cheers,
    Charles

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I went on and deleted the plugin and then logged into my hosting cPanel and emptied the cache. Unfortunately my site is still experiencing the same problem. I forgot to mention that I checked the cron function before starting the compression in resmushit. I got an error message and this is when the site went down. I also just noticed that the CPU usage is maxed out at 100%, which is weird. What do I do from here?

    Thank you!

    Hi @kat08,

OK, so fortunately there’s nothing about resmush.it plugin.
    For your website :
    – Try to restart your Apache server in your cPanel (https://www.psychz.net/client/question/en/how-to-restart-apache-server-in-cpanel.html)
    – if the CPU is still stuck to 100%, try to access to PHP/apache error log (and copy paste these files here, we’ll try to help)

    Hope it will help ??

    Cheers,
    Charles
