• Hello,

currently I have an ABC.com website, and I want to split its content between 2 websites: partially the content should be left at ABC.com, and partially moved to the newly registered XYZ.com.

So I don’t need to move the old site, I just need to clone it at the new domain ant then to remove some categories and pages at the old site and the new one, this is the plan.

I am a newbie in WP, so may I kindly ask you to share any advices or recommendations how to proceed with this process using Wpvivid-Backup plugin? Does it support such kind of process?

    Hi,

Currently, WPvivid backup plugin doesn’t support for this kind of migration. However, you can clone your old site to your target site, then delete the unnecessary contents form your target site.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

    Hi Nicholas,

thanks for answering! Probably I wasn’t fully clear in my message – that’s actually what I meant:

However, you can clone your old site to your target site, then delete the unnecessary contents form your target site.

So I don’t need anything on top.

Are there any special instructions or recommendations on this process to make it run smooth? I never cloned/migrated any websites before…

Please head over to WPvivid home page > Get Started > Migrate WordPress. Follow our guide on transfer your site and migrate your site to your new domain. After site migration is complete, you can delete the unwanted catergories and pages from your target site.
