Website Admin out of picture

  • A volunteer created our organization’s website on WordPress. Due to a terrible family crisis, she is incommunicado and is unable to give us the user name and password for us to get into our website so that we can update it with info for 2012. Can you possibly help us out so we don’t have to re-create the site from scratch? It is MVAVA.org. Thank you.

  • Do you have access to your hosting account? If so, do they have phpMyadmin installed?

    If so then you can login to phpMyadmin, go to wp_user table, look for the admin user or whatever is in there and just change the email to yours. Once your email is in there, you’ll be able to use the reset password function.
