1.) these issues does NOT occur in incognito

3.) I submitted my site health privately via the form above.

@terrymiddleton Hey Terry, thanks so much for opening a new topic.

Interesting that these issues do not occur in an incognito browser window. Do you have any ad blockers installed?

Had a similar problem last update, but after troubleshooting it seemed to be a theme issue and it was throwing errors on the console.

This time the only error is the JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 3.3.2

Also note, I recently updated to the latest version of WP 5.7

That isn’t an error rather it is just a message. WordPress uses the jQuery migrate script to ensure backwards compatibility for any plugins or themes you might be using which use functionality removed from newer versions of jQuery.

Since the plugin works in an incognito window where browser caching and extensions are disabled, I’m curious if another browser extension is involved.

    1) Do you have any extension installed and could you temporarily disable them one by one to check if one is responsible?

    2) Which browser and browser version are you using?

    Hello,

I’m having a similar issue but for me even with incognito mode I still have the same bug.

I just created an issue on Githb and asked me o move the issue here.

So rather creating another ticket in www.remarpro.com i think it’sbetter to follow up here

@luckynasan also, did you see my sitehealth info I sent via the form?

Since I am not able to create any new stories after the plugin update in my normal browser, is there any problem if I create them in the incognito mode? Just check as I had a couple stories in the works I was trying to launch.

    Let me know,

@luckynasan – I just realized something that may help solve this and help others.

    I can’t believe I forgot this…

In the last update 1.4, I had a similar problem in not being able to see the stories, but was able to in incognito.

I discovered that when I switched my sites theme to way 2021, everything with the plugin worked perfectly which led me to the conclusion that the real culprit was my theme.

I have not solved the problem and don’t fully understand how the plugin interacts with a theme to even try to figure it out.

Maybe you might now how the plugin interacts with a theme or can point me in the right direction to research how it does. Can you help?

When the plugin get’s loaded, how does the theme affect the plugin and visa versa?

    > When the plugin get’s loaded, how does the theme affect the plugin and visa versa?

This really depends on the theme. Much like plugins, themes can do pretty much anything on your site. So it’s impossible to tell from the outside how your theme affects your site. If a theme causes issues with other plugins on your site, it’s best to report that to the theme developer and consider switching themes if possible.

@swissspidy thank you for your input.

I’m a bit confused. How does/can the loading of the Web Stories Dashboard even interact with a theme? Or, does it (web stories) have nothing to do with any themes when loading or working with WP?

If web stories never interacts with a theme, then I would deduct that the theme is doing something to WP even when only the WP admin panel is loaded.

Again, a theme can do anything it wants on your site, including in the WP admin area. The Web Stories plugin itself doesn’t do anything with the theme, but that doesn’t mean that there can’t be conflicts.

If the issue still happens with all other plugins disabled and when using a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One, then we know whether there is such a conflict or not.

    @luckynasan – thank you.

I will say this…without having changed anything, after about a week of having the update installed, it started working. Wild, can’t explain it, but happy to be able to create stories again.

    You can close this out.
