Webp support

    I am trying various plugins but cannot use webp with NextGEN galleries. That is a problem raised by core vitals. How can I enable webp, or which plugin we can use?

    Hi @yavuzc,

    NextGen already supports WebP image format in terms that it allows uploading already converted to WebP format images but it doesn’t come with a built-in format convertor of any type.

    If you’d like to use a third party plugin that’d convert the images to WebP, you can try Imagify or WP Smush but just to note that these plugins will create WebP versions of each JPEG and store them all so respectively these can highly increase the space requirements.
