I do not have any debug settings or log on the toolbox on michaels.me.uk

So I have done the log for foodbooking.uk, which is not working again today

ok so it has been determined that CloudFlare is the cause and I cannot use CF and webp images at the same time.
Having done some tests with and without CF enabled, having CF enabled still gives me the edge, which means that the webp images are not really adding any significant performance boost.

In which case I am going to disable the webp images, but how can I delete all the images that have been created thus far?

you can’t , you need to destory all optimized data , then re-do it with webp option OFF

but if your have big enough disk , I wouldn’t suggest you to bother this though.

so I have to delete them all manually via filemanager?

these files use up quite a bit of disk space on sites with lots of images. Don;t forget that for every image you upload, WP creates multiple different sizes.

well, you can do that , but that will still leave records in database

so a more proper way is to destroy all and re-do the optimizaiton with webp option off

I have disabled the cloudflare page caching for now, as it barely makes any difference anyway.
however, even with caching disabled, I am still not getting webp files.

then please continue your case on that support ticket.
