most common reason is the image is not loaded by <img tag , but js or css

which page has that image you posted ?

I have checked several of my sites, and it is every image on every page I have checked is NOT using webp.
here are 2 sites you can use for reference

    foodbooking.uk
    michaels.me.uk

    go to home page
right click any image, open in new tab… I get the png or jpg image
or right click -> inspect in chrome dev tools, does not show webp images

right click, download image… gets the png or jpg

all of these actions should result in getting the webp image

its the same on all pages on all my sites using lscache

If I use another solution to generate the webp image instead of lscache, it works fine.

above screenshot is exactly what I see in my chrome dev tool -> network request list

    please check my screen recording

For some strange reason foodbooking.uk is now showing webp images today, up until yesterday it was not. I have not changed anything.
So there is obviously something screwy going on causing it to randomly display webp images sometimes and not others.

here is a screencast of the other mentioned site, as you can see, it is NOT displaying webp images right now.
I have also make a screencast for you.
    here: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/9720466?key=2a90b8cc50f62e58f28b212ad82e49f2

As I said, I have plenty of other sites doing this as well. All of which have webp replacement enabled.

please don’t look at “element” tab , that output could be altered by JavaScript or browser or something when page is loaded/rendered.

please directly check the HTML source code , that is what plugin sees when it replaces webp

    (@lordsnake)

when webp image is in use, doing EXACTLY what I have done in the screencast shows webp image, you can test this on any site.

when webp is used, and tyou right click and view source, and look for the image, you will find filename.webp

when webp image is used, you can right click, open image in new tab, and it will open the webp images

when webp image is used, and you downloa dthe image, you get the webp image.

That is NOT what is occurring here.

    inspecting the image, shows jpg/png
right click open in new tab, shows jph/png
    downloading image, downloads jpg/png
    viewing source shows jpg/png

I cannot explain it any clearer than this.

on that michael site , only 3 images were loaded by HTML , others are loaded by JS

and one of them is loaded by CSS , 2 of them are loaded by <img which is what wonders me

please provide the report number , you can get it in toolbox -> report -> click “send to LiteSpeed”

    (@lordsnake)

as stated at the start of this post, the webp replacement is enabled on ALL the sites.

    see here: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/29563537?key=861ae56c349be8c6a1e0b242046ca9b7

    I might have an idea

please backup your current setting , then follow this guide and afterward, import back the setting and check again.

please reset to default setting , then only enable webp replacement

then follow this guide to enable debug log , and post the log
