• Hello Dear Staff,

    I have 3 issues with the new ver.6 update…
1st. – Using WebP option delivery my image sizes are grown 3 times in size. {Image compression level is: None}. Tried 2 times regenerate them but the problem is still the same. when option is deactivated – so only Jpeg, size is 400kb more less, whit WebP same image 1.2mb (Lighthouse checkup).

2nd. I’ve tried option “Maximum Image Width” but there is no positive outcome for me since I’ve never upload image that is bigger in size than 2530px wide. Now when I try deactivate the option it says “ERROR You cannot disable maximum image width”. I suppose it is a caching problem.

3rd How to get rid of …fonts/eicons.woff2?5.10.0 ??? since we are already on 5.13 version I always have this request, even if I don’t use EIcons?

Hope to hear you back with some solution!
    With regards,
    Artur.

    Hello @sulainisart,

Sorry to hear you are facing such issues with the new plugin release.

First – I would like to point that there is a maintenance release from today which is not yet installed on your website.

    As per the reported issues:

1 – The original image size is no way affected by the Webp generation – the .webp images can be larger in size for some of your images – it really depends on the image itself.

2 – I can see the option is currently deactivated – please specify if there is still an issue observed with it and how we can replicate it from our end.

3 – I am not able to see the font loaded on your website homepage at this state. Additionally I can see the www domain is currently pointed to Cloudflare. Make sure to clear Cloudflare cache before you verify any changes made on the website.

We are looking forward to your update.

    Best Regards,
    Elena

    Hello back Dear @elenachavdarova ,

Thank you for reaching me out.

If you meant update 6.0.1, it is already on.

1 – Maybe I didn’t express myself well, but this exactly what I meant, when I deactivate WebP and serve Jpegs, they are correct, when switch on WebP after processing the pictures and serving them as WebP the size is 3 times bigger. This happened only after 6.0.0 update, and also it seems odd that WebP will be +300% bigger in size, if previously they was -10%-15% smaller.

2 – I’ve tried to access my website from Incognito tab and yes, the option seems to be deactivated. But keep that in mind while I am working on the website, cloudflare is Deactivated, and after logging out I am cleaning SG Cache and CF Cache. Strange that while logging not from incognito Tab the option is activated – cookies issue you think? In cache has been cleared so many times already…

3 – I don’t think I can send you the screenshot, but with F12, you will see in the beginning of the requests there will be this *** https://www.sulainisart.it/wp-content/plugins/elementor/assets/lib/eicons/fonts/eicons.woff2?5.10.0
I don’t know what is triggering this in Swiper.js?

Hope to hear back from you.
    Best Regards,
    Artur.

    Found it in INDEX:

    Thank you for your update.

Allow me to address the queries one by one as before:

    1. We will apply a fix for the reported issue in the next version of the plugin.

    2. As you can see the option as disabled using incognito browser – this is the correct setup at this point.

    3. I can see that the specified font is added to the “Fonts Preloading” option. Make sure you preload only the fonts that are actually in use.You need to remove it from there and replace it with the currently used version if needed.

    Best Regards,
    Elena

    Hello @elenachavdarova !

    1. Perfect! Waiting for it. Thank you!
    2. Yes, indeed. Still strange caching issue.
    3. I was preloading the request because google was penalizing me. Now I’ve removed the preload and as you can check the request is still there within the index… Can we know that it is caused by? The 5.13.0 version is not even requested… So why 5.10.0 is still there?

    Waiting for your reply.
    Thank you,
    Artur.
