WebP on Safari on MacOs 10.15.7 are not loading and image result broken, not replaced with jps/png orignal version. Checked on different Mac, same configuration, same error. There’s a fix?

    Hi Riccardo,

Can you share the site where you are looking at this? I just checked a few websites that I know are serving WebP images and all of them are loading the backup image on Catalina/Safari 13.1.

    Yes, check this:

It looks like a hardcoded version of those WebP images. Unfortunately though, I am not seeing anything from EWWW running on there. If I disable EWWW via a query string, I’m still seeing WebP images so I think you must have something else that is serving them as well (though again if you do have EWWW running, I don’t see evidence of it). Can you try JS WebP to see if it works? Can you also share your system info from the support tab of the plugin settings, perhaps in a pastebin?

I’ve removed WebP rules in htaccess and i’ve activate js rewrite for image and picture. Could you check?

Can you turn off EWWW altogether – disable the plugin – and have a look at the site?

As I haven’t heard anything back about this, I’m going to resolve this thread. Should you have any other questions, please feel free to start a new one!
