WebP images not being created on upload (WP Offload Media)

    We’re using EWWW in conjunction with Delicious Brains’s WP Offload Media.

    Having two issues with this.

    When processing images with the bulk optimiser, some WebP images aren’t always being created, but the tool is acting like they have been creation.

    In addition to this, no webp images are successfully being created when someone uploads a new image to the back end at all.

    In both cases, to get these WebP images created I have to run the bulk optimiser with Force re-optimize and WebP only ticked.

    Any ideas on what might be going on here?

    An amendment to this – it’s actually successfully converting the full size image to webp, but none of the thumbnail sizes.

    Sorry for late reply – as an update this actually turned out to be an issue where our webserver was also attempting a WEBP conversion process at the same time as EWWW, which we hadn’t correctly disabled.

    Actually, sorry still experiencing some issues with this.

    When new images are added to the sites, the custom thumbnail sizes aren’t always being converted to their webp counterparts. If I check the S3 I can see the main fullsize image has a conversion, but the worpdress thumbs don’t.

    Running the bulk optimiser fixes this.

    As we’re using CDN for the images, I have the force webp version enabled, but obviously this is resulting in a broken image until I manually run bulk optimiser.

    Any ideas?
