Hello, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I noticed some images get converted and some others no, I can’t find a pattern of why this is happening

I cleared cache, disabled Cloudflare but can’t seem to find the issue

I also tried to disable and enable the webp for the plugin to regenrate all images but with no luck

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @polsola,

I checked the wp-content/uploads/ folder of your site and I see the .webp images generated there. Can you point out the images which you do not see in .webp format. so that we can check the case further.

    Hello @plamenm

Sure, there are some webp images on the uploads folder but not all the products, for example if you check the network tab on this URL

    https://www.monodejuegos.shop/juego-de-mesa/brew/

All images are served in webp

    But in this one

    https://www.monodejuegos.shop/juego-de-mesa/cocorico-cocoroco/

You’ll see the main product image is still served as PNG

Checked with the uploads folder, on first case, I see a webp image for each of the thumbnail of the image while I don’t see any webp for the second image

    Hope it helps

    Hello @polsola,

I have reviewed your case and would like to make some clarifications about the requirements regarding image optimization. When it comes to images in PNG format our plugin will convert only those whose size does not exceed 500 KB. It checks the size of the main image and if it is bigger than 500 KB all other sizes (that are created by default in WordPress) will also be skipped and not converted to WebP. This limit applies only to PNG images and it has been implemented to make sure that the optimization process is stable and will not interfere with the work of your website.

The size of the main product image cocorico-cocoroco.png on the link you provided is 1.2 MB, therefore it has not been converted. You can either reduce its size or upload it in a different format (i.e. JPG) and it should be converted to WebP successfully.

    Best regards,
    Dimo Dimov

    Hello @dimodi

Thanks, that makes it clear, I think it would be helpful to have this information on the plugin’s option description ??

I’m gonna check if I can compress the original images to be smaller in size as JPG is not an option as I need the transparency

    Thanks!
