    Hi, my site isnt showing any webp images as a result takes a while to load. Can you please assist… In my media library from admin bar its showing that the media files have been converted to webp format… In litespeed image optimizatin settings I have “create webp version” and “Image WebP Replacement” both turn on… All my images are gathered and pulled… I log onto quic.cloud and its showing that everything is fine… Please assist… Thanks in advance as I have even decided to turn on and of the image webp replacement button just to see if there was a glitch somewhere and to no avail my site still not showing images in webp on the front end…

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi, sorry I didnt explain my question as well… I forgot to add this point… It may show webp upon first load but navigate to other shop pages (page 1,2,3,4,5 … etc) or navigate to other product category pages… You would see that it will show image types as its natural JPEG or PNG format and not webp

    To reproduce I am using google chrome… I right click anywhere on website page and then select inspect, in the inspect menu bar I select network and right below on the menu bar you see IMG for image… Leaving this up I would go through my shop pages or even random category pages… I find that upon first entry images may be webp format but when you visit another shop page example #2 or #3 … Or even if you go to other product categories it will show image Type as its natural JPEG or PNG format and not as webp…

    that’s the reason I provided that link

    there are mainly 2 reasons for why webp not showign

    1. it doesn’t have webp version , you can manually attach .webp to verify , e.g.

    test.jpg -> test.jpg.webp

    if .webp link gives you 404 , then no webp exists for this image

    2. if images are loaded NOT by <img tag , but some other means like JS or CSS, then it won’t work that way

    Thanks @qtwrk, can you reply to the following

    1) I wasn’t provided any links in your reply, can you send me the link you was referring to

    2) How do I determine if images are loaded with image tag or not

    3) What would cause my images from loading without image tag? I use woocommerce, litespeed cache, perfmatters, elementor pro and elementskit pro as the main plugins on my site… Would it be do to settings I change in litespeed?

    Hi,

    1) sorry my bad , forgot the link https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/ts-media/#webp-images

    2) through the HTML source code

    3) some page builder , most commonly , the background images , are often loaded by CSS , instead of HTML <img tag
