So here’s what happened: I converted all the images in my Woocommerce site to WebP and the process took over a day. As expected, the page size has reduced and the page loading times have gone down. Great!

However, all the images on the frontend are still being displayed in the same old formats (png, jpeg). Although they are displaying webp conversion inside the media library.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, all the product variation images are showing a responsive placeholder on many pages. I figured lazy loading might be the culprit here but I turned that off and the same problem persists on many product pages.

P.S: I only turn lazy loading on either in my theme settings or in LSC one at a time.

    Please help me out!

Okay, now the variation images load just fine. I have turned the lazy load feature on in LSC as well. Let’s see if anything changes. Perhaps caching was the issue.

    But, what about this

However, all the images on the frontend are still being displayed in the same old formats (png, jpeg). Although they are displaying webp conversion inside the media library.

Is there a fix to it?

    Hi,

I looked at your home page , that’s because these files don’t have webp version

    /wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Ateez.jpg

this is one of your image , when you access it by

    /wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Ateez.jpg.webp

you will see it gives 404 error.

    Best regards,
